Corrections policy

Readers, organizations, and sources can ask us to review a specific statement. We evaluate the evidence, correct supported errors, and make material changes clear.

How to request a correction

Email support@databreachhelp.com with “Correction request” in the subject line. Include the page URL, the exact statement you believe is wrong, your proposed correction, and a primary or authoritative source that supports it.

What happens after a request

The Data Breach Help Editorial Team checks the cited evidence and the source used for the page. We may contact the requester or source for clarification. We correct supported factual errors and update the page’s review date. We do not remove accurate public information solely because it is unfavorable.

How we label changes

Small spelling, grammar, formatting, or link repairs may be made without a correction note. A material correction that changes the meaning of a factual statement will receive a dated correction note on the affected page. When a source catalogue changes an incident record, the page may reflect the revised source and identify the current review date.

Privacy and security concerns

Do not email passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account details, or copies of identity documents with a correction request. If the issue involves personal information submitted through this site, identify the submission date and email address used, then follow the request process in our Privacy Policy.
